How much time do you waste scrolling Instagram feeds every day? Jealous of someone else’s “success”, family, relationship, or adventures?
This is the trap of what’s known as the “Lower Mind” or Manas in Yoga Psychology.
In order be happy and fulfilled, we must master our minds.
But, learning how to consistently pull ourselves out of your melodramas, emotional addictions and erroneous stories is easier said than done.
Luckily, yoga answers this question and gives a clear Map of the Mind, called:
Like any map, there is a logical path to reach our destination – the Wise Mind or Buddhi (I like to think of this as our “Buddha nature”).
When we meditate or practice yoga, we learn to navigate the “Lower Mind” and stay plugged into our “Higher Mind”. The Buddhi blossoms with wisdom and discernment.
