Friends…the global crisis and pandemic of COVID-19 is a clarion call for us as a human family to rise together, discipline ourselves to stay steady, process our emotions skillfully, cultivate wisdom and act swiftly from a balanced, grounded state, instead of reacting from fear and panic.
We are being forced to humbly surrender to the unknown and the great mystery – to grapple with financial insecurity, political instability and face the reality of our inevitable death – whenever it comes.
We are in a great threshold of initiation (perhaps the greatest one in most of our lifetimes) – a reminder that the highest path is to take the middle road:
Fear is a contagion. Just as a virus spreads in close contact – so does our fear and reactivity. Stay vigilant with your thoughts.

It is more clear than ever before that our mental health is paramount. It is crucial that we process our emotions daily.
Or as my Priestess, Ariel Spilsbury says – we are launched into a new orbit or the next “growth ring” of our evolution.
We are being initiated to make a quantum leap in our consciousness from the ego-based “I” consciousness (3rd Chakra – Solar Plexus, manipura) to the unity-based “WE” consciousness (4th Chakra – Heart Center, anahata).
We are also being initiated to become samurais of our minds – resisting the urge to slip into panic and overwhelm and instead staying steady with clear perception and swift action – while also honoring all of our feelings.
The call of any spiritual practice is that we use everything that arises in life as an opportunity to learn our soul lessons. We have a tendency to open to pleasure but resist pain and the reality of death. Our tendency to resist pain leads to suffering, and fear of death (abhinivesa) guides us in our lives.

This is one of my absolute favorite chants and one of the classic Sanskrit mantras!
It’s healing chant and is considered a protection chant, as well as a Moksha chant. It’s an incredible mantra to use if you or someone you love is ill.
This is the chant that I memorized (I tell the whole story in the video) and repeated in my personal sadhana during the last few months of my father’s life last year. It is an exceptional, sacred chant for helping soul’s transition.
