Listen in as Ashley + Tommy dive into serious solutions for the next wave of addiction and recovery – Recovery 2.0
Addiction affects us all. From emotional eating, having one too many glasses of wine (a little too often), working too much, our obsession with social media and technology, addiction to certain emotions…to hard core drug and alcohol use…our society is swimming in an epidemic of compulsive tendencies.
Tommy Rosen is an addiction and recovery specialist, yoga-meditation teacher and author of Recovery 2.0: Move Beyond Addiction and Thrive in Recovery. He has been sober for 20 years and advocates a holistic approach to addiction – looking honestly at our relationship to our body, breath, food, work and Spirit. I am so blown away by his integrity, passion and commitment to helping people on all sides of recovery and honored to interview him here.

Whats missing is the neuroscience of the brain and addiction. This needs to be addressed especially since so much shame is attached to relapse. The person would benefit from brain mapping biofeedback etc. Along with possible new meds, counseling and recovery programs. The holistic aND yoga part are imperative so I really appreciate that. I struggle w drinking and yoga has helped greatly. But I’m exploring the neuroscience aspect. I’m also a yoga teacher.
Thanks for the interview Tommy. I ordered the book and am hopeful to share with my clients new and inspiring info!
